You can search across the RAC’s archival materials, books, DVDs, VHS and microfilm holdings from the home page or the Advanced Search page.

You can search within an archival collection by selecting that collection and then using the “search within this collection” in the navigation bar.

In addition to our OnDemand, reference driven digitization program, the D-Team has been engaged in some very large digitization projects over the last few years as part of our Special Projects program.  These projects include materials such as the Rockefeller Foundation Officer Diaries, Rockefeller Brothers’ Fund Annual Reports, the Foundation for Childhood Development microfilm, the Rainbow Room Scrapbook, and selections of various collections for the Centennial project and the PUMC. All in all, we’ve digitized about 269,000 pages of archival material (both textual & photographic).

The Rockefeller Foundation Centennial project has made it possible for me to learn many things about the process of digitization, digital archival standards, and the construction of a website. I also have seen the decisions that need to be made so that a comprehensive, user friendly site can be built.

This project has taught me basic functional aspects of digitization: scanning, creating text-searchable pdfs, creating derivatives for images, and uploading these documents onto a website. The project has also allowed me to gain an understanding of the Rockefeller Foundation and its goals.
